At the beginning of the 2022/2023 PlayMakers was still in the process of hiring a full time Prop Shop Supervisor. Because of this, I continued to act as the Prop Shop's Interim Supervisor. The first show of the season was Blues for an Alabama Sky, and I worked with the director and scenic designer to prop the show.
A chaise from stock was chosen for the show. We altered it by dyeing the fabric to a purple color (dyed by our costume craft artisan Rachel Pollock), de-stuffing the chaise slightly, and bordering the edge with a silver cording.
