Like much of the entertainment industry, the tour was shut down mid March due to the spread of Covid-19 around the world. The Sound of Music

Props Head      Non-Equity National Broadway Tour

Joined Tour: January 27, 2019       Tour Ended: June 2nd, 2019

I joined this tour in January when the previous Props Head stepped down. This was my first IATSE contract, joining the Union under the ACT contract. This was an S contract sized show, and I was a department of one on the tour. A very busy tour schedule. In the 4.5 months I was on the tour we preformed in 56 different cities, 35 of these cities we were in for just one night. The grueling hours were difficult but also allowed me to push myself and grow as a technician. This tour taught me to roll with the punches and make it work. Throughout the tour the crew was given countless curve balls, including small venues, difficult schedules, injured or ill crew members, and at least one flipped truck. Despite all of this, the crew would come together and make the show happen.

Tour Basic Info:

  • S Contract

  • 4 Truck Show

  • 8 Hour Load In

  • 3 Hour Show Run

Props Specific Tour Info:

  • Marley Floor (4-6 sheets)
