Prop Master: Emma Gold Anderson
Scenic Designer: Randy McMullen
My duties for this show included organizing duties for the two artisans under me, pulling props, assisting with rentals, and maintaining communications with the director and stage management. I also assisted in the design and construction of props not available in storage.

Face lifting Vinyl Chair

This chair was a rental that, with permission, we gave a face lift to. The original color of the vinyl was orange, which we changed to a steely grey. We also repainted the metal frame of the chair black, from its original green-grey color. The chairs vinyl arms had some minor holes in it, which I filled with hot glue and painted over with vinyl spray paint. This made the vinyl look undamaged, especially from the audience.

Disaster Strikes: Fire and its Aftermath
During the final dress rehearsal of this production a fire broke out on the main valence. Cause by a knocked light pointing directly at the valence, the fire broke out during the final scene of the final act. It caused the production to be moved next door to the smaller Taylor Theater. Some smaller pieces of the set were saved and moved next door, however the majority of the set had to be struck immediately to allow clean up to begin. The props were moved to Taylor Theater to use as the majority of the new set, putting them into a much more prominent position of the play.

Our Technical Director Chip Haas can be seen assessing the situation, and the plume of smoke shooting forward is actually a fire extinguisher being shot from behind the curtain.
